Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage all accounting functions for a group of companies in the logistics and pharmaceuticals sectors. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting reporting, effective accounts management, compliance with regulations, and support for strategic financial planning.

1. Accounts Payable Management:

o Supervise the accounts payable process to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers.

o Ensure compliance with contractual payment terms and maintain appropriate documentation.

o Oversee invoice validation and approval processes for all incoming inventory and services.

2. Accounts Receivable Management:

o Oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.

o Develop and implement debt recovery strategies, prioritizing accounts and establishing effective follow-up procedures.

o Coordinate reconciliation processes with distribution partners to ensure financial accuracy.

3. General Ledger & Financial Reporting:

o Lead the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with VAS, and preparing transformation step for IFRS

o Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

o Conduct regular analyses of financial data to identify trends and variance explanations.

4. Treasury and Cash Flow Management:

o Direct treasury operations including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.

o Prepare short term cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficiency for operational needs and obligations.

o Negotiate credit terms and manage financial risk associated with cash management.

5. Tax Compliance and Reconciliation:

o Develop tax strategies to optimize liabilities while ensuring compliance with Vietnamese tax laws.

o Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies with tax authorities.

o Monitor and reconcile outstanding tax obligations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

o Coordinate with relevant departments on accounting procedures for branch openings/closures, ensuring proper tax and legal compliance.

6. Compliance and Audit:

o Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards.

o Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

o Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA) preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a mgr role.

• Strong knowledge of VAS and familiarity with IFRS.

• Having leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
